Hello Readers!
Posh has decided to start a new section on reviews of places we go, products we use and food we eat. We thought it would be nice to give our readers our thoughts on all the things we do so that if you ever want to try something new you'll always be able to check posh to know first hand if its worth your while. Our first review is on Juliet Supperclub in New York.
Juliet Supperclub is rated one of the top 10 clubs in new york and has seen the likes of Jay Z, the Kardashians, Rihanna, and Usher, just to name a few. The ambience of the place is beautiful, however, as the saying goes all that glitters is not gold. As hyped as the club is, we wouldn't be going back there anytime soon. Our review of this club is not based on the restaurant but on our clubbing experience there.
On the bouncers at the door....
When we got there the bouncer at the door was very rude and belittling. He judged us based on our appearance and instantly told us it will cost two of us $150 dollars to enter. When we asked why it was so expensive, he totally ignored us and started talking to other people. It was like an "if you cant pay the money, then you dont deserve my time" attitude. While this was going on, we over heard him telling another group of people that it will cost them $40 to enter. He literally did not care if we heard him charging other people a lower price to enter. When we heard that, we were furious and were ready to go home.
We eventually got in and honestly, if we had paid $150 to get in after how the night turned out, we would have been so upset.
On the space...
For such a celebrity favorite, the club is pretty small. Imagine being in a place that can only take 50 people hosting about 75 people, thats exactly how it was. There was no space to dance and people were pushing and bumping each other. Servers where carrying drinks and empty glasses over people's heads O_O and it just wasn't a pretty sight. Really, what's the point of going to a club if there is no space to dance?
On the drinks...
The drinks were really good but definitely on the expensive side. We had Vodka Redbull and Vodka Cranberry which were like $13 a glass and the glasses were pretty small.
On the music...
The music was very pop, a lot of Britney, gaga and all that sort of music. Although, they threw in some r'n'b and hip hop in the mix, they also played some country songs and other songs we never knew even existed. All in all, we will give the music a B-
On eye candy....
Ladies, there was nothing there to drool on. Most of the guys there looked like grown men who didn't want to grow up from their taste in fashion. It will be a total waste to look good because you'll be disappointed that you wasted such a gorgeous look
On the overall experience...
It was okay but definitely not a place we would recommend to a couple of girls who want to have a good time and spend their money on something they would really enjoy. Overall rating: C-
If our view on this place changes we would surely let you all know. Also, if you have been to Juliet and would like to share your experience with us, feel free to email us at poshculture@yahoo.com and we would definitely post it up.
